This year’s car and bike show, carnival, children’s hands on art and sports activities, card board kayak races to celebrity appearance by YTV’s Splatalot and new host of CHCH Tiny Talent Time; Jason Agnew and Matt Chin, as well as guest appearances by comic book heroes Wonder Woman, Dr. StEvil, Spider Man, and coming from a galaxy far, far, away; the 501st Legion of Storm Troopers. This weekend is guaranteed to be an action packed adventure!
Rolled into the fun will be a fitness competition on Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., the Rose Buds Baby Show at 11 a.m. on Saturday and a Community Concert on June 21 at 6 p.m. featuring Kidnred, 100 Monkies, Crutch and Street Pharmacy.
On Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon the Welland International Flatwater Centre will host the annual Children’s Fishing Derby.
The festival’s Grande Parade is on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. and will leave Canadian Tire Financial Services on East Main Street and head down Wellington Street to Memorial Park.
Sunday will also see Rose City Rising Stars singing competition at Memorial Park from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. before fireworks.
